Ed Madden lives in a quintessential Columbia, SC, midcentury modern. The house is perfect, inside and out, and I think Ed would agree that he’s fortunate to be married to an antiques dealer with very fine taste. Ed’s office is light and decorated in keeping with the house’s period. I will say, though, that my favorite moment in making the photographs was ogling his bookshelf and finding this little couple of wedding-cake grooms. It explained a lot about the warmth of the visit.

The Carolina Writers photographs were presented in assorted vintage and reclaimed frames and hung to resemble groupings in a family room. While I have other unframed prints available, this is the original print from the exhibitions of this work and is, therefore, unique in its presentation.
